A motorcyclist was seriously hurt following a head-on crash with a car.
The accident happened on Selsfield Road just north of Ardingly at about 6.20pm on Tuesday.
A Honda motorbike being ridden north by a rider from Kingscote, near East Grinstead, collided with a silver Toyota Celica being driven south by a 64-year old woman from Fairlight, near Hastings.
The 68-year-old motorcyclist was left with serious body and leg injuries and is being treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
The woman was unhurt.
PC Mark Bassett of the Surrey and Sussex Road Policing Unit said: "If you saw what happened we would like to hear from you."
