A MAN has been charged in connection with the death of a woman who disappeared 13 years ago.
The remains of mother-of-three Natalia Doherty, 50, were found in a garden in Luton in December 2015.
Ms Doherty was last seen on April 15, 2003, in Eastbourne, prompting a murder inquiry. Ms Docherty also went by the surname Wilkanowska.
Daniel Doherty, 67, of Icknield Way, Luton, has been charged with preventing a lawful burial, obstructing a coroner in the execution of his duty and perverting the course of justice.
A spokeswoman for Bedfordshire Police said: "The investigation into Natalia’s disappearance has been carried out by the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit.
"Daniel Doherty will appear before Luton Magistrates’ Court on May 26."
