A BURGLAR reached through an open window and stole a handbag in an early morning theft.
The offence took place at a flat in Brunswick Road, Worthing, at about 3am on Tuesday (May 10).
The suspect was able to enter, or reach into, the property through a partially opened ground floor window and steal a black handbag which contained bank cards and other personal items.
Detective Constable Gavin Percival, of the West Sussex Priority Crime Team, said: "I would be interested to hear from anyone who knows who is responsible for this theft or perhaps saw something suspicious.
"We also remind everyone to be extra vigilant at this time of the year and not to leave windows insecure, and to consider your general home security".
Any witness or anyone with information is asked to contact Sussex Police by email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or to call 101 quoting serial 105 of 10/05.
