AN 18-YEAR-OLD accused of threatening to kill school children is due to go on trial.
Zachary Dunning, of Athelstan Road, Hastings, is charged with two counts of making threats to kill children at schools in Robertsbridge.
He is remanded in custody until a trial at Lewes Crown Court in August.
Detective superintendent Nick May said: "These threats were allegedly made to a third party who raised their concerns with police. No direct threats were made to any children or school staff.
"Police have been working closely with East Sussex County Council and the relevant headteachers to put measures in place so that we were confident that no pupils would be at risk while an investigation was carried out. If the risk to anyone had changed we would have made the staff and parents immediately aware."
