A POLICE car crashed into metal railings on a seafront hill near shops as officers responded to a 999 call.
The crash happened in Rottingdean, outside Coastway Vets, on Thursday just before 6pm.
The police car collided with metal railings in Marina Drive.
The road was temporary closed in both directions while the vehicle was recovered.
No other vehicle was involved and no injuries were reported.
The incident is being reviewed by police to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
