A MAN has been found with stab wound outside Waitrose.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man who had been found stabbed outside Waitrose store in Western Road, Brighton.
South East Coast Ambulance Service sent two ambulance crews and an ambulance car to the scene to treat the 37-year-old victim.
The man had suffered a single stab wound to the chest and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, in a serious condition.
His condition is not thought to be life-threatening.
The incident happened at 10.34am on Monday.
Officers have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm. He is in custody.
It is believed the victim had been stabbed in Montpelier Road and was found in nearby Western Road. An investigation is on going.
Montpelier Road was closed but has now re-opened.
