A WOMAN has suffered a serious head injury after she fell from the window of a first floor flat window.
Emergency services were called to Chichester Terrace, Brighton, at 9.08am on Monday (July 11).
They had received reports that a woman had fallen from a window of a first floor flat.
The woman suffered a serious head injury and has been taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by South East Coast Ambulance Service.
She remained in a critical condition on Tuesday morning.
Officers arrested a 28-year-old Brighton man on suspicion of attempted murder. He remained in custody on Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, a 28-year-old woman from Brighton was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of Class A - other. She remained in custody on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers are trying to establish the circumstances of the incident and a force spokesman said no further details available at this time.
