A woman who asked a passer-by for help crossing a Brighton road was pushed over and robbed.
The woman, who is in her 60s and unsteady on her feet, was nervous about crossing Downs Terrace to go shopping around 10am on Saturday morning.
She approached a man and asked for his help, but he snatched £20 that she had in her hand and pushed her to the ground before heading off down the hill towards Queens Park Road.
He is described as white, in his late 20s, with brown hair and wearing a grey long-sleeved top and jeans.
The victim was uninjured, but very shaken, and was helped to her feet by an unknown man and woman.
