AN ALBION player has been in court accused of a Christmas Day attack.

Rohan Ince is accused of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in Windsor the day before he was an unused sub in Albion’s 0-0 draw away at Brentford on Boxing Day.

The 23-year-old midfielder denied the charge when he appeared at Reading Crown Court for the first time yesterday with a trial date now to be set.

Ince has been in the Albion squad for their pre-season friendlies but did not feature in Saturday’s 0-0 draw at Derby County.

He started his career at Chelsea before moving to Brighton in 2013

And two seasons ago Ince was a regular first team player and signed a three year contract in September 2015.

He is tied to the club until the end of the 2017/18 season but has been sent out on loan.

He went to Fulham on loan in February until the end of the season and manager Chris Hughton has previously said Ince may go out on loan again to get game time.
