An air ambulance has landed after a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a motorcycle.
At 9.40am an 18-year-old man was hit by a motorbike in the A27 Upper Brighton Road, Worthing, at the junction with Cissbury Road.
An air ambulance attended but the pedestrian was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton by road ambulance.
His condition was initially assessed as serious but not life threatening.
The motorcyclist was reported to be uninjured.
The road was closed from 10am while the casualty was attended to and the scene examined, but was open again by 11.05am.
