NEIGHBOURS of a woman who carried out a “reign of terror” can breathe a sigh of relief after her house was repossessed.

Alexandra Capone lived in Marine Parade, Worthing, for 10 years, and residents told how she often held all-night parties.

The 41-year-old was handed a two-year Asbo on February 24, 2015, for offences such as causing alarm or distress, threatening behaviour and drinking in public.

Now Sussex Police have confirmed the property was repossessed by the mortgage lender and has been secured with metal shutters.

In February last year we reported how neighbours were horrified when she painted her historic seaside home deep pink.

She posed for a photographer outside the former RNLI Worthing lifeboat base days afterwards.

One neighbour described how the police had been called “1,000 times” over her time in the house.

Mike Gardiner, 67, said: “It was absolutely horrendous. Police attended the house more than 1,000 times in 10 years.

“We’re all so relieved she has finally gone as it has been a living hell since she turned up. Let’s hope she doesn’t come back.”

New agents Michael Jones did not want to comment on the property, which it intends to market at some point.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “Officers were present at an eviction on September 13, where there was no breach of the peace or need for police action.” She could not confirm if police had been called 1,000 times.

A spokeswoman for Adur and Worthing Councils said: “The property was inspected by the council’s private sector housing team earlier this year. Following the inspection, we served a prohibition order on the use of the top floor and an improvement notice on the rest of the property under the Housing Act 2004.”

The council has asked the agent to secure the house’s turret.

Capone’s Asbo includes a ban on her causing a nuisance, alarm or distress to the public, using or threatening violence towards the public, possessing alcohol in a public place except on a licensed premises, being drunk in a public place and making a noise within her home loud enough to be heard outside.

PC Marv Lucas of Sussex Police previously said: “Capone has led a reign of terror against residents, businesses and the community. Incidents of antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.”
