DRUGS with a street value of £80,000 have been seized after neighbours called police reporting a strong smell of cannabis.
Officers raided the property in Talbot Road, Littlehampton, after calls from home owners about the smell.
They smashed down the front door after there was no answer and discovered a total of 98 cannabis plants, which are thought to have a street value of up to £80,000.
Two men were spotted leaving the house through a back door and run off in separate directions prior to the raid at around 8.50pm on Friday, 7 October.
Sergeant Daniel West, of Sussex Police, said: "We are pleased to have seized such a large number of plants and taken these drugs off the street, but would now very much like to speak with their owners.
"We have already spoken with a number of local residents. If you have any information, no matter how insignificant you may think it is, please get in touch.”
Anyone with information should email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 1376 of October 7.
