A MAN has appeared in court accused of sexual offences against bus passengers while he was working as a driver.
Mark Spalding, 28, appeared at Brighton Magistrates’ Court yesterday and entered no plea against eight charges of sexual assault by inappropriate touching and two of inciting sexual behaviour.
The details of the charges include inappropriately touching a girl aged 13 and another, aged 14, on multiple occasions.
Andrew Walker, prosecuting, said the alleged offences took place while the bus was idle at bus stops.
The charges relate to alleged offences over the course of 2014 and 2015, in the areas around Devil’s Dyke, Lewes Road and Falmer.
Spalding, of Whitehawk Road, Brighton, was bailed to appear at Lewes Crown Court on December 22.
