A man accused of calling for Britain to introduce a "bomb a mosque day" has pleaded not guilty to posting a series of offensive comments intended to stir up religious hatred on Facebook.
Unemployed Nigel Pelham, 49, is also alleged to have written a post calling on people to "put a Muslim on top of a bonfire", magistrates heard.
At Worthing Magistrates' Court, Pelham denied eight counts of publishing threatening written material intending to stir up religious hatred between February 24, 2015 and November 16, 2015.
Sussex Police arrested Pelham on March 30 last year after reports were made to police on March 21.
Pelham, of Freehold Street, Shoreham, was granted conditional bail and told to appear at Lewes Crown Court on March 7.
