THREE men dragged a cyclist off his bike, beat him and stole his wallet and mobile phone.
The 47-year old male victim was riding his bike in Chapel Road, Worthing, at 8.15pm on Monday (February 27) when he was subjected to the unprovoked attack.
He was dragged to the ground by three men wearing dark clothing and punched and kicked several times.
He required hospital treatment for cuts to his hands and knees and lumps on his head.
The items taken in the robbery are yet to be recovered.
Two men, aged 41 and 24, both from Worthing, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and after being interviewed were released on bail until April while police continue enquiries.
So far a third man is yet to be identified. Sussex Police are investigating the incident and are urging any witnesses to come forward.
