A COUPLE were left tied up by four men when their home in Crawley was burgled.
The couple returned to their house in Buckswood Drive around 8pm on Monday, March 13, having been out for about an hour.
They found that a patio door had been smashed and as they went inside, the men grabbed them.
They were forced to open a safe and the men removed jewellery, watches and a quantity of cash.
They were then tied up in a bathroom, but managed to escape after the men had left.
The couple did not suffer any injuries.
The men are described as all being white, wearing masks and gloves. They spoke in broken English and to each other in a language that the homeowners were not able to identify.
The couple were not injured.
