A MAN was hit over the head during an attempted robbery.
The incident involved two groups of people in the Somerhill Road area of Hove.
A group of men, all in their 20s, were walking past St Ann’s Well Gardens in the early hours of last Sunday.
Another group came out of the park and shouted at them before following them into Somerhill Avenue and Holland Road.
A fight broke out at the junction of Holland Road and Cornwell Road.
One suspect tried to grab the 20-year-old victim’s bag and he was hit, leaving him with a cut to his head which needed hospital treatment.
The four suspects were three white men and one black or mixed race man who were 16 or 17 and wearing hooded tops.
Witnesses are asked to call Sussex Police on 101.
