A CYCLIST has died in a collision with a car.
The incident happened on Battery Hill, Fairlight, near Hastings, shortly before 7am today.
Sussex Police and paramedics were called to the scene where they found the cyclist, a man in his 50s from Bexhill, had suffered serious injuries.
Despite their efforts, crews were unable to save him.
The car, a white Vauxhall Agila hatchback, was driven by an 88-year-old Hastings woman, who was unhurt.
The road was closed between Waites Lane and the top of Battery Hill while emergency services dealt with the incident.
It was re-opened to traffic at 11.15am.
