THREE men have been jailed for dealing heroin and crack cocaine.
They were arrested during a six-month operation carried out by officers from Brighton and Hove Police’s Community Investigation Team into the supply of drugs into the city.
More than 70 arrests have been made so far.
The three all pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply class A drugs from November 28 last year to March 2.
Shannon Sutherland, pictured top, 22, of Abbey Avenue, Wembley, was jailed for 40 months.
Rico Mitchell, middle, 19 of The Avenue, Wembley, was given a 31-month jail sentence.
Mesach Knight, bottom, 21, of Bunns Lane, Barnet, London, was sentenced to 30-months’ imprisonment.
They were sentenced at Hove Crown Court.
Detective Inspector Julie Wakeford said: “These sentences are the latest for those arrested as a result of a drugs operation targeting the supply of heroin into the city.
“Our work, which is supported by the Community Safety Partnership, is an example of the excellent joint working that continues into the city targeting those who supply heroin while at the same time encouraging those who need to support with addiction into treatment.”
