A FORMER Brighton Pride volunteer is accused of supplying crystal meth.
Alan Pollard, 28, of Montague Street, Brighton, is accused of supplying and being in possession of Class A drug methylamphetamine, known by its street name crystal meth.
He is also accused of supplying and being in possession of class C drug (Gamma-butyrolactone). The drug is otherwise known as GBL.
He entered no plea at Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
Pollard faces five counts of offering to supply methylamphetamine at his flat between November 2016 and January 2017.
He also faces one count of possession of the class A drug.
He also faces five counts of offering to supply GBL at his flat and one count of possession of the class C drug in the same period.
Lead magistrate Gary Gates committed the case to be heard at crown court.
Crystal meth and GBL are popular drugs on the gay scene in Brighton.
The drugs release feelgood chemicals in the brain.
Pollard will reappear for plea and trial preparation at Lewes Crown Court on October 19.
