SEVERAL arrests have been made after an alleged robbery and burglary.

Bernard Lovell, 52, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged on suspicion of robbery and intent to burgle over two incidents – a robbery in Bruce Avenue, Worthing, and a burglary in St Leonards, last month.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on Thursday, October 19.

Officers in Eastbourne have also arrested and charged Colin Dixon, 38, unemployed, of Upper Avenue, Eastbourne, with handling stolen goods – three laptop computers belonging to the Welkin Laboratories, Carlisle Road, Eastbourne.

He has been bailed to appear before Hastings magistrates on Wednesday, November 1.

Four other people arrested by Eastbourne police on suspicion of burglary and theft – a man aged 30 from Eastbourne, a man aged 18 from London, a man aged 31 of no fixed address and a 38-year-old woman from Eastbourne – have all been released under investigation.
