TWO charity tins were stolen from a pub in Worthing.

This man, pictured, was seen on CCTV just before the tins were taken from the Bar Next Door in Rowlands Road on Thursday.

Owner Mark Archer said: “They climbed over the back wall and jemmied open the back door

“They broke in and ran straight in and grabbed the two charity boxes off the bar.

“Both boxes were chained to the bar so the thief had to yank them free.

“We have got it all on camera. I have got a very clear face picture.”

Mr Archer added that despite calling the police straight away no officers had visited the pub or looked at their CCTV.

He added: “The police just don’t care any more”

His partner Tina De Lacey said: “What’s really upsetting me on top of this is the police haven’t even bothered coming here to look over CCTV or take statements.

“And the guy was outside again today.”

The Argus contacted Sussex Police for comment but had received no response by the time of going to press.
