Jacob Robert Field, 25, of South Street, East Hoathly, Lewes, pleaded guilty to driving a Vauxhall Astra without insurance and stopping in a Pelican-controlled area, both in High Street, Uckfield on March 7 this year. Fined £320 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Owen Cobb, 22, of Peckham Close, Lewes, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating in Ringmer. Jailed for 12 weeks suspended for 24 months, ordered to do 60 hours’ unpaid work and participate in 30 ‘building better relationships’ sessions. Ordered to pay £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

Stephen John Lavender, 45, of Juziers Drive, East Hoathly, Lewes, pleaded guilty to failing to give name and address at the scene of a road accident and failing to report the accident to police within 24 hours or as soon as possible. Fined £333 plus victim surcharge of £33 and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with five points.

Kayleigh Church, 26, of Blois Road, Lewes, pleaded guilty to racially aggravated use of abusive or insulting words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress; and racially aggravated assault by beating. Ordered to take part in 20 Inspire sessions and pay £60 victim surcharge, £120 fine and £50 costs.

Temesken Gurr, 19, of Manor Road, Seaford, pleaded guilty to having a pair of sharp pointed scissors in a public place, in Hastings. Fined £165 plus £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

She was fined £600, ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £60 and six points were added to her licence.

Kenneth John Hudson, 58, of Vale Road, Seaford, pleaded guilty to breaking the 30mph speed limit in Falmer Road in Brighton on January 27. He was fined £267, ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £26 and six points were added to his licence.

Levi Jay Allen, 24, of Tudor Close, Seaford, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle loaded 1,180 kg over the permitted laden weight of 3,500kg; driving with a pneumatic tyre that had the ply or cord exposed; driving with a tyre that was insufficiently inflated. Fined £201 plus a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Licence endorsed with six points.

Louise Flind, 48, of Telscombe Village, Lewes, pleaded guilty to drink-driving. Fined £400 plus a £40 victim surcharge and £85. Banned from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if completes an approved driving course.

James Anthony Sinclair, 25, of Cuckmere Road, Seaford, pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman. Given a 12-month supervision order and ordered to do 150 hours’ unpaid work. Also given a restraining order and ordered to pay £60 compensation.

Michael Burdass, 68, of Uckfield Road, Ringmer, pleaded guilty to ten counts of supplying, together with Lynn Burdass, food and drink at the Old Ship Public House “in contravention of a condition requiring you to give a security for the payment of any Value Added Tax which was or may have become due”. Ordered to pay £3,384 compensation, £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
