Talented young artists have exhibited their paintings at Marks and Spencer.

Junior pupils from The Towers in Upper Beeding are currently exhibiting their bold and beautiful paintings of fruit in the Holmbush Marks and

Spencer Cafe in Shoreham.

The paintings were created by eight pupils from Year 5 and Year 6 – aged nine to 11 – in a gifted and talented art project last term.

The children’s semi-abstract paintings of fruit were inspired by the art and ideas of American artist Georgia O’Keeffe.

Headteacher Clare Trelfa said: “The children are delighted to be exhibiting their work in the Marks and Spencer Cafe and they hope the public will enjoy looking at their paintings.

“Our thanks to Eva Peel, local artist and a Towers parent, for working with the girls and inspiring them to produce such wonderful pieces.”
