TWO University of Brighton students have been selected as potential healthcare leaders of the future.

Clare Worgan, pictured, a first year midwifery student, and Emma Miles, a first year nursing (Child) student, have been accepted for the Council of Deans of Health’s Student Leadership Programme to further develop skills to become leaders in their field.

Professor Paula Kersten, Head of School of Health Sciences, said: “Many congratulations to both students. Hundreds of students apply for this programme every year and this is a fabulous achievement.

“The programme will be valuable experience not only for them but also for others around them who will benefit through their participation.”

The three-to-four–month-long programme provides intensive training in essential knowledge and skills for future leaders. It includes tailored workshops, lectures and seminars.
