Worthing College celebrated its best ever set of A Level and BTEC Level 3 results.

New principal Paul Riley said: "The A Level pass rate of 98.8% and the 42.9% of students who achieved high grades at A*-B is the best ever achieved by our students.

"BTEC Level 3 pass rates also reached the dizzy heights of 97.6% this year with 79.4% high grades.

"These results follow an outstanding year of student achievements and the ‘Good’ Ofsted we achieved in April 2016, which demonstrates that the college is good in every respect.

"These pass rates are all above National Averages for Sixth Form Colleges and will enable our students to progress to top Universities, Apprenticeships, employment and further training.

"We wish our students every success in their future.

"I would also like to congratulate each and every one of our dedicated and inspirational staff for the excellent teaching, learning and support they have provided for our students this year.

"These results reflect an outstanding commitment to high quality education and training in our local community.”
