STUDENTS at Brighton and Hove High School have achieved a 94% pass rate in their A-Level results.

This year sixth formers celebrated outstanding results, with 55% of grades being awarded at A*/A.

Headtacher Jennifer Smith said: "We have been delighted with the girls' hard work and commitment and all the staff and governors at Brighton and Hove want to congratulate them on their achievements.

"We are so proud of our Sixth Form where girls have excelled in such a broad range of subjects (100% A*/A grades in Art, Dance, French, Geography, History, Latin, PE and Photography) and from where they have secured HE places ranging from Oxbridge, LSE and Sussex to London Contemporary Dance School.

"Particular congratulations go to our Head Girl Mary Kelada who achieved A* grades in Maths, Chemistry and Biology and will study Medicine at Imperial.

"We look forward to hearing about all our girls' future successes."
