MORE pupils at Seaford College are celebrating being admitted into their first choice university. 

The college reported students achieved:

  • An increased number of A* grades 
  • Business Studies 90% A*-B grades 
  • English Literature 80% A*-B
  • Creative Writing course achieved 80% A*-B

Headmaster John Green said: "Our pupils are increasingly ambitious in all aspects of their education, and we are immensely proud of all aspects of their achievements across our diverse curriculum.

"Seaford remains a proud, inclusive and non-selective school, and the results this year demonstrate the undoubted strengthening academic core at the school."

Some standout performers:

Hudson Greig achieved an A* grade in the Creative Writing course on top of having also won first prize at the Brighton Arts Festival Peacock Poetry Prize earlier in the summer.

Head Girl Emma Brown secured an A* in Psychology, and A grades in Maths and Physics, and goes on to read psychology at Bath University

Alex Hodson achieved four A grades in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics and will read medicine at Edinburgh University

Lydia Ellwand achieved three A* grades in English Literature, Creative Writing and Graphic Design, and joins Falmouth University in September
