STAFF from a seaside holiday resort held a special party for sick children at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Butlins in Bognor Regis sent its iconic Redcoats to the capital to help young patients get into the holiday spirit with a seaside themed summer party at the hospital in central London.

They were joined by Butlin’s characters Billy, pictured, and Bonnie Bear, and the Skyline Gang, who demonstrated their incredible circus skills.

The party was a summer treat for patients who are currently in hospital and their siblings, with a mix of traditional seaside fairground stalls including hook-a-duck, skittles, splat-the-rat and an ice cream stand. There were also fun activities including a photobooth, puppet workshop, cupcake decorating and face painting.

Butlins aims to raise £150,000 a year towards specialist medical equipment and the hospital’s play team, and has raised £300,000 so far.
