SOCIAL enterprises in York and North Yorkshire are being asked to open their eyes to the capabilities of blind and partially-sighted people.
Action For Blind People says 66 per cent of blind and partially-sighted people of working age are unemployed.
Now it has used lottery money to develop the Social Enterprise and Employment Development Project, which is encouraging work experience placements for blind and partially-sighted people.
