With reference to Sonya Mills' letter (August 14), I beg to differ. It is not herring gulls or any wildlife who are destroying the world, but man.
Mankind are the pests, with girls becoming pregnant just to get the benefits and giving no love or guidance to their unfortunate offspring.
I have had the same pair of herring gulls nesting on my roof for ten years or more and the way they bring up their young would put most humans to shame.
