I would like to comment on the validity of the naked bike ride, which took place in full view of the general public and children (The Argus, June 9). This form of exhibitionism is just another form of perversion and on any other day would have been classed as exposing oneself and therefore illegal.

Parents were trying to explain to children why grown men and women had no clothes on while riding bikes along a main street.

Many people were clearly angry.

I suggest those concerned with organising this event look into the law which takes into account race, culture and how we offend others.

I am all for free expression but surely this is a step too far. We all know bike riding is a sustainable form of transport. We don't need exhibitionists using that cause as an excuse to expose themselves.
