MORE than 150 years after the death of the George IV Brighton could soon have a new royal resident.

Lady Amelia Windsor, dubbed the hottest royal by Tatler magazine, said she wants to move away from London because of sky-high rental prices.

She has apparently told friends she wants to make either Brighton or Bristol her new home.

The 21-year-old, who is 36th in line to the throne, is granddaughter of the Duke of Kent. The Queen is her great aunt.

She enjoyed a childhood sheltered from the press but became the darling of high society after being named the hottest royal by Tatler last year.

She is known for flitting from one exclusive party to another - fitting in her studies at Edinburgh University when she can.

She will graduated in French and Italian later this year but has ruled out a return to London - instead setting her sights on either Brighton or Bristol.

If she does choose us, she would be spoilt for choice for somewhere to live.

There are currently two Regency masterpieces on the market in Arundel Terrace, which is just off Sussex Square.

Both have five bedrooms with sea views and private gardens and could be hers for £3 million and £2.45 million respectively.

If she wants something a little more leafy then she could try this new build in Withdean Road, on the market for £2.25 million.

The five-bedroom detached home features a roof terrace and winter roof garden and is located in one of the city's most exclusive neighbourhoods.

While we may not host as many film premieres and society parties, there will be plenty to keep her entertained in Brighton.

She can catch the latest films at the oldest cinema in the country, Duke of Yorks, or perhaps catch a bit of comedy at Komedia, in Gardner Street.

And when it comes to food, she is spoilt for choice with the likes of 64 Degrees, in Meeting House Lane, Silo, in Upper Gardner Street, and Terre A Terre, East Street, the talk of foodies around the country.

If she's up for it, the Gourmand could even give her a guided tour of the city's culinary delights.

Rumours are, the Lady also likes to shop.

Churchill Square may not quite be her scene she will find everything she needs in the Lanes. In particular East Street, which has Kate Middleton's favourite high street shop, Reiss.

And if she wants something a little different to show off to her friends in London, then she is sure to find it in the North Laine.

So come on Lady Amelia. Forget about Bristol and come and enjoy the good life by the sea.
