A man was winched from a fishing boat by a rescue helicopter after experiencing chest pains.
The 55-year-old was on a fishing vessel in the English Channel when the man started experiencing chest pains around 3.30pm yesterday.
A Maritime and Coastguard Agency rescue helicopter was dispatched to the boat 14 miles south of Eastbourne.
The man was then winched from the boat into the helicopter.
Shoreham Coastguard was called to man the Brighton helicopter landing site, and the man was taken by ambulance to Royal Sussex County Hospital.
