FIREFIGHTERS were called to rescue a man who had a heart attack in his seafront flat last night.
Emergency services were called to the flat in Brunswick Terrace, Hove, at around 7.30pm.
The man was said by neighbours to have suffered a heart attack.
Two fire engines, police and an ambulance attended and the road was cordoned off.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to reach the man, who was in one of the upper floor flats.
Firefighters passed the patient to paramedics and he was taken to hospital.
The man's condition is thought to be serious but not life threatening.
