A DRINK-DRIVER has been banned after flipping his car on its roof.

Lucas Edward Cuming, 20, of Vine Cross, Heathfield, crashed with a parked car in Church Street in Old Heathfield on April 14 just after 9pm.

His Renault, with a passenger inside, rolled over on to its roof in the crash.

Cuming failed a breath test at the roadside, and was later found to have 153 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood at accident and emergency.

The limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.

He plead guilty to driving a motor vehicle drunk at Brighton Magistrates' Court today.

Representing himself he said: "I am fully remorseful for what happened.

"I have never done something like this before, and will never do it again."

He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and made to pay a £350 fine, £85 for court costs and a £35 surcharge.
