A woman has died after being struck by a train.
British Transport Police were called to Portslade Railway Station, in Portland Road at 9.30pm on Wednesday after a report that a person had been struck by a train.
Officers from British Transport Police, Sussex Police and medical emergency teams attended.
At 9.36pm, a woman was found deceased.
The Southern rail service was suspended for the night as officers cleared the scene.
British Transport Police officers are currently working to identify the woman.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
