A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with leg injuries after being hit byu a train.
Emergency services were called to Bexhill Railway station at 6.27am following reports that a person had been struck by a train.
Southern Railway said the line between Eastbourne and Hastings was closed as a result of the incident.
Paramedics from South East Coast Ambulance Service were called and treated a woman for a leg injury.
She was taken to hospital for further treatment.
A British Transport Police spokesman said the incident is not being treated as suspicious.
At 8.14am, Southern tweeted that lines in both directions had been reopened.
