TWO men have been arrested after reports of a car being driven erratically.

The silver Nissan was seen driving along Eastbourne Road, Willingdon, then towards Seven Sisters Road. It later collided with another car in Summerdown Road, Eastbourne.

The car stopped in nearby Paradise Drive and two men ran off.

Two men were later arrested nearby.

The incident happened at around 10.55am on Monday.

A 30-year-old from Rochester, was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and taking a vehicle without consent.

A 36-year-old from Dartford, was arrested on suspicion of taking a vehicle without consent, dangerous driving, driving whilst over the prescribed limit, failing to stop at an accident, driving without insurance and handling stolen goods.

They have been bailed until May 7.
