VISITORS to Rottingdean now have a grandstand view of the Rampion offshore wind farm thanks to new telescopes being installed along the coast.
Rampion has worked with Tourist Telescopes to commission the installation of four – one each in Lancing, Newhaven, Rottingdean and Shoreham.
The idea originated from two youngsters at Globe Primary School in Lancing who approached Lancing Parish Council last year.
Since then Rampion has worked with local councils to make it a reality.
Telescopes have already been installed in Lancing and Newhaven and the third has now been installed at the Quarterdeck at the southern end of the Lower High Street, Rottingdean.
It was officially opened to the public this week.
