KETCHUP was squirted at windows, doors and cars in a late night attack.

Two cars and a house were covered in tomato sauce.

A mother was watching television with her daughter at their home in Kirby Drive, Peacehaven, when they heard a noise outside. When they opened the door, they discovered it and their car on the driveway outside was covered in ketchup.

A car passed by shortly after but they could not see anyone, said the 50-year-old mother, who did not want to be named. She added: “We had been watching television with the curtains open and my daughter heard something.

“We went outside to check and it was everywhere. We are a bit shaken by it. It feels like someone targeted our house because up and down the street no other cars or doors were affected. It was very annoying and took a while to clean. We heard the culprit might have bought the ketchup in the nearby Sainsbury’s and then also attacked another car in Dorothy Avenue before.”

Police said they had received a report of one incident on Friday, July 27, but there had been no arrests. Anyone who witnessed the attack or knows who carried it out should call police on 101 quoting 1528 of 27/07.
