POP group Boyzone will perform on Hastings Pier as they approach their 25th anniversary as a band.
The multi-million selling act – consisting of Ronan Keating, Michael Graham, Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy – will join such iconic musicians as Jimi Hendrix and The Who in playing on the pier.
The concert takes place on Friday, August 25.
Organisers of the gig are hosting a competition for local artists to support Boyzone on the night, with the winning act to be decided by an online vote.
Participants can submit their chosen band or musician by visiting oneinchbadge.com/hastings.php.
The competition closes at midnight on Sunday, August 20 with the winner announced the next day.
All submitted acts must be from Hastings.
Boyzone were formed in 1993 through an audition process led by X Factor judge Louis Walsh, who wanted to put together an “Irish Take That”.
Their debut album, Said and Done, went to number one in the UK charts two years later and the band flourished until their break-up in 2000.
They re-formed in 2007 and have released two albums since, with a third scheduled for later this year.
Hastings Pier re-opened in May 2016 after it was ravaged by a fire six years earlier.
It was voted Pier of the Year in April 2017.
