SANTA brought a town centre to a standstill when he arrived to open a temporary charity Christmas card shop.
The Cards for Good Causes store is in Lewes House, School Hill, Lewes.
Father Christmas was greeted by local artist Lyndsey Smith and town crier Jon Borthwick as he arrived on a Harveys Brewery dray cart.
He gave out presents to children before trying a cake made by shop manager Wendy Stonestreet.
The shop sells Christmas cards on behalf of national charities such as the RNLI and Save the Children as well as local organisations including the Friends of Lewes Victoria Hospital.
The shop will be open until December 19 and opening hours are 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
