THE i360 in Brighton and Glynde Place near Lewes have both won national awards.
They received top accolades at the 2017 Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Awards grand final.
The seafront i360 won the national Design Through Innovation award.
Glynde Place came first in the Building Conservation category.
Terry Adsett, chairman of the South East judging panel, said: “The South East of England is home to some of the most pioneering built developments that have become much loved and valuable assets to their communities.
“British Airways i360 is a prime example of this.
“The project pushes the boundaries of technical innovation and has aided the regeneration of Brighton’s seafront.”
“It has created a new, exciting and iconic tourist attraction, which has already proved to be a great success.”
