AS part of National Apprentice Week, Wealden District Council highlighted the wide range of work its apprentices undertake.
Wealden has taken on three external apprentices: Rachael Ball, Leanne Whitley and Hayley Hammond, who are all studying for apprenticeships in business administration.
Councillor Nicholas Collinson said: “After the success of our previous apprentices, I am delighted to welcome our new cohort for 2018. The Wealden external apprenticeship scheme is a 13-month programme which runs in collaboration with Sussex Downs College.
“The diverse roles that our apprentices are doing highlights the variety of work that Wealden District Council undertakes. Their qualification will give them excellent experience and transferable skills that will form a launch-pad for the rest of their careers.”
Wealden has taken on three external apprentices: Rachael Ball, Leanne Whitley and Hayley Hammond, who are all studying for apprenticeships in business administration. They are working in Wealden’s audit and investigation, housing and GIS and LLPG Team, which is responsible for street naming and numbering and overseeing the council’s mapping system. As well as working in their home teams, they will also be given the opportunity to gain experience in several parts of the organisation.
