PLUMPTON College is celebrating after raising over £4, 800 for charity.
Lessons came to a halt on Tuesday as students raised money with a series of activities on the college grounds near Lewes for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.
Despite the rain, the whole college took part in an Easter egg hunt, raft race, inflatable assault course and a colour clash on the Principal’s lawn.
One member of staff was ‘kidnapped’ and held to ransom, and one even shaved their head.
The event was organised after Principal Jeremy Kerswell visited the hospice.
The hospice provides care and support to 300 children with life-shortening conditions and their families in Sussex and South East Hampshire, both at the hospice and in the families own homes.
While the money collected is still adding up, the college has already managed to raise an incredible £4,800, which alone would be able to pay for two whole days of all community services provided by Chestnut Tree House.
