BERTRAM Bunny is visiting Borde Hill near Haywards Heath for the Easter holidays.

There is a puzzle trail around the garden to work out Bertram’s secret password and you can receive a chocolate egg reward.

There are free craft bags daily throughout the Easter holiday for children, containing all the materials needed to make an Easter-themed masterpiece to take home.

Between Good Friday and Easter Monday there will be a special chocolate prize given at 3pm for the most inspired Easter creation.

On selected days children can find the Easter Bunny hoping around the garden, whilst on Thursday April 5 they can have their face painted with an array of colourful springtime and Easter-themed designs.

Families can share creative time together with brand new storytelling sessions.

On Wednesday April 4, Teeny Tiny Mouse helps a team of gardeners complete a difficult challenge in ‘Once Upon a Garden…’, while on Saturday April 14 there is ‘Once Upon an Egg’ with enchanting tales based upon the themes of Easter, birth and renewal.

Easter-themed treats will be available at the new Gardeners’ Retreat Café and for those wishing to let off steam, the Adventure Playground offers an exhilarating zip wire.

Spring is also a magical time to explore the garden and woodland, with an abundance of flowering magnolias, camellias, hellebores, daffodils and rhododendrons. Picnics and dogs on leads welcome.

All activities are FREE to Friends of Borde Hill, although a small charge will be made for face painting on April 5.

Otherwise, normal garden admission charges apply.
