Two of the biggest dance acts in the world are set to headline the anticipated two-day music festival at Shoreham Airport.

Disclosure and Rudimental will top the bill at 'Wild Life' festival, which will welcome 35,000 people a day over the weekend of June 6 and 7 this year.

Disclosure, made of up Surrey brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence, won a nomination for best dance album at last year’s Grammy Awards and are best known for their smash hit White Noise.

Drum and Bass-influenced Rudimental have also received critical acclaim since emerging in 2010.

The band has won several Brit awards and a Mobo for best album, as well as achieving two UK number ones with their 2012 single Feel the Love and 2013 hit Waiting All Night.

Other top names set to appear at the event include chart-topping Sam Smith, hip hop legends Wu-Tang Clan, Radio 1 DJ Annie Mac, techno mastermind Seth Troxler, plus George Ezra, Jamie XX, David Rodigan, Maya Jane Coles, Heidi and more.

SJM concerts, the promoters behind Wild Life, told The Argus today (Tuesday) that tickets for the event would cost £55 for one day or £99 for the entire weekend – though camping was not available. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Speaking at Shoreham Airport, SJM director Rob Ballantine said: “There were concerns that locals wouldn’t have priority to tickets to the event but we’re offering them the chance to buy tickets first from Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Shoreham Centre.

“We’ll also be meeting with residents who have concerns about the event at a consultation evening on March 27. Further details about that will be released before then.”

Praising the quality of headliners Rudimental and Disclosure, Mr Ballantine said: “We’re really pleased to have them on board. It’s going to be great for the music lovers of Sussex and beyond.”

The Wild Life brand was created by Disclosure in summer 2014 as an extension of their successful live and DJ shows. The parties began in east London but soon appeared across the globe at festivals in the UK, Europe, Ibiza and the US.

A statement from Disclosure said: "We’re both so excited to announce the creation of Wild Life festival, and so proud to have been able to curate an amazing line up alongside our good mates, Rudimental. What a weekend this is going to be."

Rudimental added: "To be able to curate our own festival with our favourite acts in partnership with our friends Disclosure is a dream come true. We are expecting the weekend to be unforgettable and to make history with this collaboration is a real pleasure."

General ticket sale launches on Friday.
