Worthing Pier
LIFEBOAT crews were scrambled to reports of a man threatened to jump from a pier.
The Shoreham inshore and all weather lifeboats were launched to a report of a man feared to have jumped off Worthing Pier at noon.
The man was located on the pier and coastguard officers spoke to him.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said a man was detained by officers on the pier shortly after 1pm.
