AN INJURED Rampion wind farm worker was taken to hospital in a dramatic rescue.
Shoreham RNLI were alerted around 6.30 pm on Wednesday to a report of an injured crewman on a working platform near the Rampion wind farm, off Worthing.
Shoreham RNLI lifeboat crews were diverted from a training exercise to the scene and picked up the crewman.
A mayday call was then sent out to the coastguard .
The coastguard search and rescue helicopter from Lee-on Solent was dispatched to transfer the man to hospital.
The crewman was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital.
